How it works

Three steps. The depth lives underneath.

01 — CLARIFY THE THESIS

We define what strategic fit means for you.

A Strategic Diagnostic with your leadership — priorities, posture, intent, success criteria.

02 — FILTER FOR SIGNAL

We surface only the startups worth your time.

Network scan, criteria-based filtering, structured briefs — not pitch deck stacks.

03 — LAUNCH GOVERNED PILOTS

Every pilot has a sponsor, milestones, and a decision gate.

We manage the interface so both sides commit to real outcomes.

Our standards

What you can expect us to do —
and what you can expect us to refuse.

01

We turn down more engagements than we accept.

02

We won't run a pilot without a named executive sponsor.

03

We would rather kill a weak pilot than keep it alive for optics.

04

We don't charge startups, ever — our incentives must come from corporates.

Why Arktone

The challenge

Why corporations fail at venture informally.

Most corporations recognise the need to engage external innovation. Few do it well. Without a defined thesis, a structured process, and dedicated capability, efforts become fragmented, expensive, and ultimately unconvincing to boards.

The result: innovation theater. Hackathons, startup events, and pilot announcements that never convert into strategic value.

Selection criteria

What we look for.

Arktone is selective. Priority goes to startups with demonstrated enterprise fit, a working product, and the discipline to navigate structured corporate relationships.

Working product

Beyond MVP — something real customers use today.

Traction or signal

Paying customers, LOIs, or meaningful pilots in motion.

Enterprise-ready team

Founders who understand corporate cycles and procurement.

Strategic fit

Clear relevance to one or more active corporate mandates.

Priority sectors

Where we are actively scouting.

Active mandates live in these categories. Startups outside these sectors are welcome but prioritized when mandates open.

Questions founders ask

The things you want to know first.

Is there a fee to apply or be introduced?
No. Arktone does not charge startups to apply, be reviewed, or be introduced to corporate clients. Our revenue comes from the corporations we serve. This model is deliberate: it keeps incentives aligned with real fit, not with startup volume.
Who sees my application?
Only Arktone leadership — a small senior team. Your submission is never shared with corporate clients without your explicit written approval.
What happens if we're not a fit right now?
You receive a clear response within five business days explaining why — typically: no active mandate in your category, stage mismatch, or enterprise-readiness gap. Applications are kept for re-review when relevant mandates open.
Do you take equity or require exclusivity?
No. Arktone is not a VC fund. We do not take equity in exchange for introductions and do not require exclusivity.
What stage of startup do you work with?
Most useful for Series A through Series C — companies with a working product, early enterprise traction, and operational capacity to run a corporate pilot.
How are you different from scouts, accelerators, or marketplaces?
Scouts send volume. Accelerators run programs. Marketplaces list everyone. Arktone holds specific mandates from a small number of corporate clients, and selectively matches startups that precisely fit those mandates.

Our premise

Most corporate venture work fails
for the same reasons.
We built Arktone to remove them.

"You don't need more startup exposure. You need strategic signal and a path to execution."

We have watched ambitious corporations spend years on external innovation that produced no strategic value: fragmented scouting, pilots without sponsors, demo-day photo opportunities, decks with no decision-makers in the room, and "innovation hubs" reorganized every two years.

We have also watched serious founders waste months in opaque corporate processes that lead nowhere — and quietly stop returning the calls of the corporates that need them most.

Arktone is the operating layer between the two. We apply venture discipline end-to-end, hold both sides to real outcomes, and have the standing to say no when a pilot, a startup, or an entire engagement isn't worth running.

Arktone operates with a small senior team and a curated network of advisors with deep experience in corporate venture, enterprise sales, and startup partnerships. We will name them as engagements progress and confidentiality permits.

Selected connections

Startups we are proud to have
brought into the network.

Companies we have connected with corporate counterparts, supported through fit reviews, and continue to track closely as they advance on the basis of real enterprise traction.

How we work

Six positions we hold,
even when it costs us business.

01

We turn down more corporate engagements than we accept.

If your mandate, sponsorship, or governance posture isn't ready, we'll tell you — and decline the work.

02

We won't run a pilot without a named executive sponsor.

Pilots without owners die in procurement. We don't pretend otherwise.

03

We would rather kill a weak pilot than keep it alive for optics.

Innovation theater is the failure mode we exist to prevent. We won't recreate it under our own roof.

04

We don't take meetings with founders we can't realistically place.

Wasting a founder's time damages the network we depend on. If there's no active mandate, we say so on day five.

05

We don't charge startups. Ever.

Our incentives must come from corporates. Anything else corrupts the signal we exist to filter.

06

We protect both sides' confidentiality with equal weight.

Corporate strategy is sensitive. Founder data is sensitive. Neither moves without explicit written approval.

Geography

Built between Miami
and Mexico City.
On purpose.

Arktone operates from Brickell, Miami — the corporate gateway to Latin America — and from Santa Fe, Mexico City — the financial and innovation core of the region. The most interesting enterprise venture work over the next decade sits at the US–LatAm corridor: financial services modernizing across borders, fintech infrastructure scaling north and south, real estate capital flowing in both directions, enterprise AI adapted to emerging-market conditions. We sit in both rooms because the work demands it.

The access network

Not volume.
Curated access.

The Arktone Access Network enables ecosystem partners to nominate their most enterprise-ready startups for structured fit review — rather than submitting undifferentiated volume.

This is not a pipeline feed. It is a disciplined collaboration between partners who understand their founders and a corporate access layer that can convert that quality into real opportunity.

Who qualifies

Accelerators, incubators, university programs, national entrepreneurship centers, innovation associations, sector-focused founder communities.

How it works

Partner programs nominate curated startups against active mandates. Arktone conducts fit review and manages the relationship structure.

What it is not

A batch submission portal. A demo day feed. A directory. We work with partners who curate, not partners who forward.

Partner inquiry

Book a partner intro call.

Structured 45-minute conversation to assess mutual fit. Response within 3 business days.

Request received

We'll be in touch within three business days to schedule your intro call.

The three-step plan

What you engage with.

01 — CLARIFY THE THESIS

We define what strategic fit means for you.

Strategic Diagnostic with leadership — priorities, posture, intent, success criteria.

02 — FILTER FOR SIGNAL

We surface only the startups worth your time.

Network scan, criteria-based filtering, structured briefs — not pitch deck stacks.

03 — LAUNCH GOVERNED PILOTS

Named sponsor. Decision gates. Real commitment on both sides.

We manage the interface so both sides commit to real outcomes.

The six-stage framework

What runs underneath.

Diagnose priorities

A structured session to understand strategic context, existing innovation efforts, venture thesis maturity, and the outcomes that would constitute success.

Filter startup signal

Scan the network and partner nominations. Apply your criteria. Surface only startups worth reviewing. Volume is the enemy. Precision is the goal.

Assess fit

Structured review — enterprise readiness, business model alignment, technical relevance, team quality, strategic complementarity. You receive a structured brief.

Activate pilots

Structure scope, success criteria, resources, governance and decision frameworks. Manage the interface so both sides commit to real outcomes.

Build partnerships

Successful pilots progress into structured partnerships — commercial terms, integration, governance that gives both parties a repeatable basis for collaboration.

Expand venture capability

CVC framework design, strategic investment readiness, and a roadmap toward an internalized venture function where appropriate.
